From crbell at linuxmail.org Tue Apr 11 11:36:14 2006 From: crbell at linuxmail.org (Chuck Bell) Date: Tue, 11 Apr 2006 12:36:14 -0600 Subject: [NARC] Port forwarding Bittorrent Message-ID: <20060411183614.1436E7B5BE@ws5-10.us4.outblaze.com> Hi - I'm using the Narc 0.7 firewall on my network and am trying to port-forward the ports for bittorrent in the narc-forward.conf file... the line in it I have says: INTERFACE="";PROTOCOL="tcp";ORIG_IP="AUTOGET_EXTERNAL_IP";ORIG_PORT="6881-6999";NEW_IP="192.168.0.80";NEW_PORT="6881-6999" But now I'm getting an error: iptables v1.3.5: invalid TCP port/service `6881-6999' specified What's up with this? I noticed at some point the syntax changed from using a ':' because when I tried it I got: iptables v1.3.5: Invalid port:port syntax - use dash Someone on #netfilter on IRC said to make sure I have the multiport match module, and I do see ipt_multiport in lsmod. I'm running Slackware -current with Linux-2.6.15.6 Other individual ports I am port-forwarding (port 80 and port 443) work fine. Any ideas?
